Ticket Sales for Extended Recurring Events

  • We have a number of events that happen every week for six weeks. So they are recurring events of a sort, but they are also a single event that happens over a period of months. Sometimes people skip the first few weeks and join part way through.

    What is the best way to set up these types of events from a ticketing perspective? I know you don’t advise using tickets for recurring events. We could set it up as a single event with the recurrences noted in the description, but is there a way to allow the tickets to be sold even after the initial start date?

    Well, that sounds a little unusual. I think what I would do is set up the recurring event without ticket sales, then create a separate event using the last date you’ll allow registrations as the date, and set up the ticket sales on that eve instead

    But it is a somewhat unusual situation to be selling tickets after the start date, so there might be a better option, if you can think of it.
