    Hi,

we have been using the Events plugin for a while and have now installed the Tickets plugin, which we have connected to PayPal. The connection works, but errors appear in the WebHooks. We don’t use other gateways or WooCommerce.

You can see the errors here:

I tried a lot and read the articles in the knowledge base. I reconnected PayPal a few times, deleted the browser cache, etc.

I also installed the debug bar and could see 401 HTTP codes for the PayPal Webhook calls. We also activated PayPal IPN, but have still the same errors.

    Can you help us, please?

When I click on the “Resync payment connection” I see following errors:

Error - Something went wrong! : Unexpected response recieved. - Failed to refresh PayPal access token.

Unexpected PayPal response when creating webhook

    Failed to refresh PayPal webhooks.

Error - Something went wrong! : Unexpected response recieved. - Failed to refresh PayPal user info.

And I see messages like “Client Authentication failed” or “Access Token not found in cache” in the debug bar.

    Hi @kankadev

Sorry to hear that you are having this problem. If you have confirmed that token and user information is correct, I would advise contacting PayPal. Your errors indicate that the API is correctly reaching out PayPal but for whatever reason PayPal is rejecting the connection.

If you contact PayPal and they give you any information about changes we need to make on this end, let us know and we can look into that as well.

Ok, I will write to PayPal.
But do we need any premium plugin to use the Events and selling tickets functionality and got paid via PayPal?

We have a PayPal Business Account, the events plugin and the tickets plugin. Is there something missing which could cause the errors? We don’t have any other plugins like WooCommerce.

The PayPal auto return URL is set to the page, where the shortcode [tec_tickets_success] is included. And the URL for the IPN is the root domain. Is this correct?

    Hi @kankadev

No, you do not need any other plugins. If you are using the Tickets Commerce functionality, which is what the free version of Event Tickets runs on, you should not need any additional plugins to sell ticket. PayPal and Stripe are both supported.

Please keep me posted on what PayPal says. Especially if they have any insight that might help me resolve this for you.

    Hi @kankadev,

Since we haven’t heard from you in a while on this topic we will assume that the problem was fixed or is no longer applicable and with that I will mark this as resolved.

If that is not the case, please let us know and we will gladly remove the “Resolved” tag and try to help you further. Or you can create a new topic with the problem if you prefer.

    Best Regards,

When I click on Payments tab, PayPal, it asks for my PayPal login and password then takes me to Liquid Web, LLC. Then takes me through asking me for information for that sight. I only want to use PayPal for my tickets to go through. Why does Liquid Web, LLC come up, is it legit, will I need to pay a fee to use, etc.?
