Just recently all mosaic galleries on my website have stopped displaying random image thumbnails in each gallery – there is no logic to this and if you flush the cache different images vanish each time….

Ive tried switching themes, deactivating plugins etc with no joy. It always appears to be images that are loading via i0.wp.com – if I disable the tiled mosaic /carousel module then ALL images appear as they should albeit they look rubbish as small boxes……

    Anyone else seen this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Yes i have this issue too. I think it has something to do with site accelerator.

    https://jetpack.com/support/site-accelerator

I uninstalled Jetpack and reinstalled it. Every time I turn on Site?Accelerator the issue starts again. Once it has started I have to uninstall and reinstall Jetpack. It is definitely that. I have currently got Site?Accelerator turned off and my images are fine. As soon as it turned it on the images start having i0.wp.com, i1.wp.com, i2.wp.com or i3.wp.com (can’t remember which one) at the start of the URL for and the images will not display.

    Jetpack please investigate and fix.

PS I have changed my theme to twenty twentythree – still have the issue

I have disabled other plugins – still have the issue

I have wiped my cache and internet history – still have the issue

I have uninstalled WP-Optimise – still have the issue

I have disconnected and reconnected Jetpack – still have the issue

    The issue is with Jetpack.

I have done exactly the same Mutdog – its definitely Jetpack causing the problem. Even If I disable Site Accelerator the missing images are still there are they are coming from i0.wp.com or similar – I am NOT going through an entire website to reinsert every image to point locally…. if there is a way to force out the links to i0.wp.com etc. or force local image loading it would be the answer I am sure!

@cwbalmer your site is under maintenance, so invisible to mere mortals.

To get a closer look, see if there are any relevant messages in the browser console and/or the site’s error logs and report what you find, if any.

Try now as maintenance mode is now off!

Looks good to me. Maybe you can share some screen captures to provide a better idea of the problem.

ok look at this page – 2023 Anatolian Eagle – Pixelsnipers

You will see various thumbnails missing although if you click on them the image will load into the carousel and you can see it ok. But the problem is the broken thumbnail.

It actually looks good to me, and I can’t see a clear difference between missing and available thumbnails.

Try this: open an Incognito window, if you have any ad blockers, try disabling them, clear the site’s cache completely, and force your browser to reload the page with all of its resources.

Conversely, I could be looking at a cached version, and maybe you’re not. I’ve had situations with Litespeed that required some serious clearing to get rid of, so check that every possible image-related.

Also, in some cases, the Site Accelerator (i0.wp.com) image storage doesn’t get updated when images are changed. If you’ve changed some of the images in those galleries after they’ve been upload to the CDN, try using fresh images to see if this helps.

    hi Gal

so you don’t see any missing thumbnails as per my 2 screenshot?

have tried full cache flushes and even disabling litespeed to no avail.

all the images were uploaded once and saved on the page so no changes will have been seen by the jetpack cdn.

still stumped and several others I know see the missing thumbnails too on a variety of devices and browsers…..

Time to contact Support, I guess.

yeah and they prob wont be able to help I imagine!! Thanks though mate

Actually, they’ll have tools and logs for this. It just doesn’t seem to be something on your site that can be resolved via this forum.

Fingers crossed bud. This thread is in their main support area so heres hoping they pick it up!

No, you need to contact them directly via https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

that just creates a loop whereby you end up in the generic support forum though,,
