The tiled galleries feature doesn’t appear to be available to me. The options doesn’t appear under the Settings menu, nor am I given the option when creating a gallery.

I have disabled all plugins, removed and reinstalled Jetpack but the option to “Display all your gallery pictures in a cool mosaic” does not appear under Settings->Media. I have enabled both the Carousel and the Image CDN options. I have even followed the suggestion on this Jetpack support page for tiled galleries, installing the “disable cleaner galleries” plugin.

I’m running WordPress 4.9.8, Jetpack 6.4.1, and using the Goran theme by Automattic (child theme of Edin).

If viewing a gallery page is required just let me know and I’ll publisher a tester. The website is located at LiamMather.com

    Hi Liam!

Have you tried to deactivate the Cleaner Gallery plugin to see if issue gets fixed this way?

Happy to dig into that deeper if the above solution won’t work out ??

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

    Stef,

Thanks for the response! Yes I did de-activate the Cleaner Gallery and still no love. Seems Jetpack’s working as it enables/disables the carousel when I select that (appears in Settings->Media) but the tiled images option just… ghosting me ??

I’ve had Jetpack on the site for a year now, but never used this feature until recently.

Tester gallery is publicly available at the link below for review. I event tried manipulated the shortcode but it just ignores variable. I’m not very experienced with debugging WordPress, but I’m typically a quick learn and can read/write code, I’d just need to know where to start.

    Hi Liam,

It looks like the Tiled Galleries module in Jetpack might be disabled on your site.

To enable it, go to WP-Admin ->Jetpack ->Settings and click the Debug link in the footer. On the next page that loads, click “Access the full list of Jetpack modules available on your site.” at the bottom. That will open a list of all Jetpack modules that are available. Click Activate on the Tiled Galleries module.

BRILLIANT! Didn’t even know that was a thing that existed.

Thanks all! I really appreciated (and in the debug process found out a few other things Jetpack wasn’t able to do due to some communications issues… so yay!)

    Glad we could help ??

I’m having a similar problem — i’d really like to be able to use the mosaic gallery function, too — and I tried your suggestion above (going into jetback and turning various modules on, but i still don’t have any options besides the following under gallery settings: columns, crop images, and link to…

For some reason, when i do create a gallery on a page, the images are also very low resolution, even though the files i’ve uploaded are a fairly good/large size.

Appreciate any advice you have on how to solve this!

If you’ve updated Jetpack to version 6.9, then there is a (new!) separate block for tiled galleries. When you add a new block, type “Jetpack” in the search box and you will see one called “Tiled Galleries”. The flow is a little different: you can choose the gallery type (Mosaic, Circles, Square Tiles, or Columns) from either the block’s toolbar or from “Styles” in the right panel before you select images for your gallery, or after. Also in the right panel, you can choose the number of columns (varies by gallery type); and link to attachment page or media file.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks @kokkieh ! Was moving a site and couldn’t figure out WHY the tiled galleries weren’t working. (I’m still using Classic Editor.) The old Debug link in the footer trick…
