    Dear Guys,
Is there any possibilty to disable option “optimize load images” having tiled (mosaic) gallery? Whenever I turn off option “disable load speed images” my gallery is turn back into classic WP style.
I’ve tried disabling option of load speed images and in debug mode turn on tiled gallery but without success.
I need having images on my local server, not on i1.wp, i0.wp etc.

    Please give me some hints.

    Best Regards

    Hi @owiec,

Thanks for the link. “Speed up image load times” needs to be enabled in Jetpack > Settings > Performance in order for the tiled gallery feature to work:

    https://jetpack.com/support/tiled-galleries/

You’ll notice toggling that option on will automatically enable Site Accelerator (there isn’t a way around this). Turning off that option after adding a tiled mosaic gallery will remove that styling — which is what is happening on your site.

Thank You for Your answer. I need to remove Your site accelerator since it has very high latency during loading images from Your i0.wp i1.wp.. servers.
    Best regards.

    Hi @owiec,

You’re welcome! Site Accelerator should actually help speed the site up rather than slow it down ?? Are you experiencing speed issues consistently across the site or only when loading certain images?

    Hi Gemma,
Yep, we’ve noticed significant difference using outside servers to load images, and having imgs on our server where whole site is located. thus we want to disable that option, but having mosaic style in gallery turned on ?? like You said this option is not possible so we wanna cry ?? ??

Unfortunately our gallery cannot operate independent of the image CDN.

The image CDN is how we’re able to generate the resized images for our gallery module on the fly, without that the gallery would be quite broken, which is why it runs for the gallery even if it’s switched off.

Just wanted to chime in and say I’m disappointed at well at this. I also would like the additional gallery types available, while turning off the image CDN as it’s affecting the quality of my images.

Are there any plans to someday separate these options?

Not currently, the images in the tiled galleries are resized every time the gallery loads to fit the display, which leaves only two options without the CDN:

    1. Don’t resize and just load full-size images in scaled-down areas. (hard on the browser, especially mobile devices)

    2. Make WordPress do the resizing every time the gallery loads. (hard on the server, and could lead to hosting account suspensions)

As such, we prefer to handle to resizing in our own CDN, since the system is built for that specifically, and the results won’t negatively impact your server or the visiting browsers.

    Thanks for your reply James
