I am running Jetpack 2.4.2 and WP 3.6.1.

When I create a gallery with the Tiles layout and I hover the mouse over all the pictures, the legend shown for every picture is always the same, i.e. the legend of the first picture.

For some reason the legend of the rest of the pictures are ignored. This did not happen in the past.

For example, if you search for ‘Por suerte dos de los benchmarks que utilizamos’ at https://www.teknofilo.com/analisis-surface-pro/ you will see a gallery with two elements above that phrase.

They both show the same legend (“Rendimiento Surface RT”) even though the second one has a different legend (“Rendimiento Surface Pro”).

I thought this was affecting new posts only, but now I see that all my posts with tiled galleries suffer this problem.

    Can anyone help?

Can you show me the shortcode used in your post for that particular gallery? You can see the shortcode in the Text tab of your post editor. Please copy and paste it here. Thanks!

    The shortcode is

    [gallery type="rectangular" ids="11839,11803"]

Both images show the same caption (Rendimiento Surface RT), although they have different legends (‘Rendimiento Surface RT’ and ‘Rendimiento Surface Pro’) as you can see here:

I don’t know why this would be happening. I noticed you have a caching plugin. Could you turn it off temporarily to see if this is the cause of the problem? Let me know; if that doesn’t work, we’ll try to figure something else out.

Also, can you show me other examples where this happens?

    Richard, done. Problem persists.

If you want, we can chat through GTalk to make it easier… my email is [email protected] if you want to get in contact with me.

Ricard, it happens in all entries.

    Another example: https://www.teknofilo.com/analisis-tagus-lux/

Search for ‘cuya fuente por defecto es más gruesa’. Ater that sentence there are two pictures whose caption is ‘Kindle Paperwhite’. However the caption of the picture on the right should say ‘Tagus Lux’

    Hi,

I’m sorry, we won’t be able to do this through GTalk or anywhere other than here or through our support site.

In any case, I can’t duplicate this on my test site (have a look here: https://reviewmysite.ca/check-gallery-captions/ ). I tried with different default themes and it’s always working fine. I suspect the issue must be related to your theme and/or a plugin you have installed. Can you switch to the default TwentyTwelve theme to check if that fixes it? If not, you should try deactivating all of oyur plugins and then reactivate them one by one until you find the culprit. Let me know what you turn up.

Thanks, I finally found out where the problem comes from.

The problem was caused by the Pinterest Pin It Button for Images which I installed some weeks ago. Disabling it fixed the problem.

Oh, great to know, thanks for informing me!
