Tiled Mosaic Displaying Broken Links

Hi Brandon! All images seem to load now. Hmm, that’s weird, any idea what could cause the broken links in the first place? So that I can troubleshoot in future if that happens again~

Photon, which powers the Tiled Galleries, will timeout if it cannot retrieve the image from your server within 10 seconds.

My initial thought is with so many images, if when you first visited it, your server couldn’t deliver all of the images in time, you’d see a bit of brokenness. Later on, at a time when your server was “less stressed” or the network connection between your server and Photon had less traffic, it was able to transmit the images in time.

I was seeing similar problems today on my site, and my galleries are nowhere near as large as Chrisxie85’s. I don’t know if I understand Photon’s inner workings entirely, but to me it’s as if Photon has dropped all previously buffered images, and began retrieving them from my own server all over again.

@chrisxie85: that’s really an insanely large gallery on the page. Even with Photon working properly it takes rather long to load, which will most likely affect your search ranking, and make visitors go away because it takes to long to load. Just my 2 cents. ??
