Till how many days the blocked IPs will be active?

    My site: https://digitallnews.com & i’m using latest version of WordPress Security plugin.

    I can see from the dash board that 2x IPs are been blocked & i seriously wanted to block this IPs permanently forever.

    I’m just curious to know, whether after certain period of time wordfence may remove those IPs from the block list or not!

    So, please can anyone tell me, what is the Wordfence Security policy regarding this IP listing. Also please share me the procedure to block certain IP permanently forever.

  • Hi @sazzadhussein,

    If you choose to explicitly block an IP address, it’ll be permanently blocked unless and until you decide to remove it from the blocked IPs list.

    To permanently block a specific IP address:

    • Go to the Wordfence Blocking page
    • On the Blocked IPs tab, enter the IP address then hit the “Manually Block IP” button

    In case an IP address is blocked (or throttled, depending on your choice) by the firewall because it breaks one of the Rate Limiting rules, then the block will remain in place in accordance with the value you specified for the “How long is an IP address blocked when it breaks a rule” parameter.
