I could not log on to wordpress after the Slimstat 3.6.6 update. Slimstat is a great plugin. Hats off to the author of the plugin. I am sure a fix will be available shortly.

I had to disable slimstat from the Cpanel to get access to my wordpress again. For the benefit of others who face the same problem, here is what I did

    1. Go to file manager on your cpanel
    2. Go to public_html/wp-content/plugins
    3. you will see a directory for each plugin.
    4. Rename the wp-slimstat directory to wp-slimstat-tmp

This will effectively disable the plugin for the time being. You will be able to login to your wordpress site.
Once a fix is available, you can rename the directory and apply the new update.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Your provider is running 5.2.x, which is what triggered the error. It’s fixed now.

    Hi Camu
sorry but for me still appear the error “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_START_HEREDOC in /home/pruebas/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/admin/wp-slimstat-admin.php on line 11”
I have 2 websites with your plugin, the first work fine, with the last and the new versión, but the second web still show the error
I can′t Access to my Admin WordPress Dashboard, so i downloaded the new versión and upload to my site through ftp but it′s doesn′t work.
I rename the old folder fo the versión 3.6.6 and still showing the error.
I delete my cache dns but still the error is showing, what i can do?

    Hi Camu,

    The problem is fixed. Thanks.

I had renamed the plugin directory to wp-slimstat-tmp to deactivate the plugin temporarily. I renamed it back to wp-slimstat.
Then I ran the update. I worked.
    Thanks

    Hi Jasosolutions

I don’t know why renaming the plugin folder doesn’t work for you.

Well, there is another way to disable the plugins. That is through phpadmin. You can access it through the cpanel. I haven’t tried it though.

Here is a youtube video explaining how to do it. This will disable all your plugins. Then you can activate it one by one to see which plugin is causing the problem.

Yes, renaming/deleting the wp-slimstat folder under plugins via FTP should solve the issue.
