• I seem to be having a problem with the tim-thumb script that my theme uses. None of my thumbnail images are appearing, and the image in the front page image slider doesn’t load, I get an error message “error loading image” I do not know who to fix this. If you click on the empty thumbnail or the read more you do see the images, so it seems it an issue with the thumbnail. The site has worked fine for months and I viewed it fine a few days ago, then after uploading a few new images to the photography gallery this weekend, I started having this issue. I am using wordpress 3.1, and the Austerity theme. The website is https://www.dandylyondesigns.com, and the hosting service is through godaddy. Please help, this is my portfolio site and really needs to have the images appear on it. Thank you.

  • Im pretty sure some hosts like to block the timthumb script. So check with Godaddy first to ensure its not blacklisted.
Then you can try updating it Download here.
You may need to copy all the text and paste into notepad if the download link opens in your browser. Then save as timthumb.php and overwrite the one you are currently using.

Thanks. I’ve checked with my server and they said they support the timthumb script. I’ve updated the script as suggested and still no luck. I clicked the read more for a post and saw the name of the file where the image is supposed to be. I clicked on the name to try to view the image and got this message:
“Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist.”
So it seems somehow it can’t find the path to the images (they are there, and I would think that means I need to direct it to the path. However I don’t know how to do that. Would it be in the timthumb.php file or the theme functions file, or some other file? I don’t know php so, detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!
