Time Data in Comments Twice

  • Hi,

    since some time (I discovered it one week ago but it is very possible that it could occur much longer), I see that in comments the time is displayed twice. That means that the German word “Uhr” for …o’clock is doubled, as shown in the comments here: Comments. The issue only concerns comments, and it does not occur while trying another theme temporarily.

    To find a solution by myself, I checked the CSS file, and comments.php but I didn’t find any entries relating time data where an entry could be doubled. So any help is appreciated very much.

    Maybe I found out how this happened.

    In WordPress settings general, I was always using the time format “G.i \U\h\r” to display “10.30 Uhr“, which always worked fine because it is also the correct German time format. After I deleted “\U\h\r” which should show only “10.30“, it is now showing “Uhr” only once: “10.30 Uhr“.

    Now I am wondering how and when the second “Uhr” appeared.
