If auto installing of a theme does not work on your server, then try manual installing of themes: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Themes#Adding_New_Themes_Manually_.28FTP.29

You have to increase the memory allocated to PHP.
Call your hosting guys for this or try to modify the php.ini file yourself.

That also could be an issue, make sure your server specifications as well as settings are at the minimum required to use WP.
