Time-out using pop to post

  • I’ve entered all the correct and verified information in order to post using a pop3 mailbox, but when I run wp-mail.php I get these errors:

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\xampp\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\class-pop3.php on line 97

    Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\xampp\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-settings.php on line 219

    I’ve configured a gmail account which functions flawlessly. Any suggestions what could cause the problem?
