    Hi there!
I am currently running Version 5.12.2. I have tried to look for other topics with the same request, and didn’t see any on my scroll through the first few pages.

My client’s events are usually scheduled based on 2 different time zones. One in Canada, the other in the United Arab Emirates. It currently lists MST in the link for those listed in Canada, but then otherwise shows +04 behind anything set to the GST (United Arab Emirates). Is there a way for it to say GST in the area beside the Date and time, or is there a way for the Time zone/time to adapt to the time that the viewer is looking at the event?

    Thanks!

Thanks! I took a look, and this is not what I am looking for. I just need the timezone to appear in its Alpha form (GST) instead of the numerical +4. I tried to change the timezone to random places (Tokyo, Berlin, Toronto etc.) and there was no issue with the Alpha form showing. It’s literally anything in the Gulf Time Zone that will show as a number.

Thanks for getting back to us @msanielle

It seems you may have discovered a bug with our plugins.

I’m checking on this with the rest of the team and should have some feedback for you soon.

Thanks so much! This will certainly be helpful for my client. And I don’t have the skill or trust in myself to dig through the code. lol!

    Hi again @msanielle,

Upon further review of this problem, this looks to actually be an issue with PHP.

Some previously used abbreviations for certain regions were not “official” and were removed several years ago. When there is not an existing official abbreviation for a given timezone region, the numerical offset is used instead.

While not an actual “bug” in our plugins, we are investigating possible workarounds for this. However, I would not expect a quick resolution for this.

See the following PHP bug report: https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=74835

    Hi @msanielle,

It seems like this thread gone quiet, and there are no further activities. We assume that this is already fixed or no longer applicable. I would mark this as resolved for now.

If that is not the case, please let me know, and I will gladly remove the “Resolved” tag and try to help you further. Or you can create a new topic with the issue if you prefer.

    Best Regards,
    Abz
