• It seems that events are disappearing off my lists and maps before they expire?

I believe that it may have to do with how your plug-in handles time zone setting and/or if the plug-in removes events based on start time instead of end time.

I have my site set to ‘Thunder Bay’ time zone EDT (UTC -4) however I think your plug-in is still calculating expiry as if the time is using UTC.

    [events_list blogs=”all” nb=-1 future=1 past=0 order=”ASC”]

    produces:

    Sample Event (Day 1 – Sept 12, 2014)
    today, from: 16:00 to: 22:00

    Sample Event (Day 2 – Sept 13, 2014)
    tomorrow, from: 12:00 to: 22:00

The problem is the events is set in Thunder Bay Time (EDT) however your plug-in is in Universal Time (UTC). So the plug-in is processing/displaying things four or five hours ahead of our time (pending on if we are in daylight or standard time).

This causes confusion as Sept 12, 2014 has not arrived yet, however it show the event is today? Also causes events to be taken down before they are over.

Can you please fix your plug-in to recognize time zone being used.

I’m having the same issue here. Since I’m at GMT-4, some events are displayed as beginning at 8PM on the day before, instead of 00:00 on the right day. What’s more, we’re changing the time here (Montreal) on Nov.2, so the events that are registered after that date have an additional hour of offset.

After 8PM, the calendar shortcode displays ?today? in the next day.
Same for the iCal and Google buttons, their begin/end times are off 4 or 5 hours.

I’ve tried to find where in the code is the time called, and to adapt it, but my php knowledge is limited, so that didn’t get very far.

Does this have anything to do with the server’s time?

Do you have any plans to correct this issue anytime soon?
