    To give more detail – the issue is only with the imported calendar events. I have a calendar that is native to me (not imported). Those times are showing up correctly in my website feed.

    Ok more info. This is so weird!

    On the imported calendar settings in Google Calendar – the time zone says GMT instead of EST which would explain the 5 hour difference – but the times are in EST on the google calendar!

    Same issue here. I’m using [gcal id=”5453″] in a text block field; I’ve tried setting my WP timezone to New York AND then to UTC-5:00 (idea from other threads), but no luck. Now I’m trying to edit the feed code directly…

    Starts: [start-time]
    Ends: [end-date] – [end-time]

    …but I can’t get any of the functions to just subtract 5 hours from the GMT time that is showing up.

    My site is under construction at a redirected-host URL, so I can’t link to it. Sorry.

    *sigh*
    After trying to add the “&ctz=…” to the end of the calendar id, it gave me an error, so I deleted that portion, but now the time displays correctly.

    Issue resolved, but not sure how.

    I never thought to set the time zone in wordpress! brilliant! That seems to have fixed the problem for me! Thanks kfmitchell!

    @mburke79,

    Glad its working for you now.

    @kfmitchell,

    So it only is working for you because you deleted that from the plugin code? Just trying to narrow this down so I can try and get it fixed.

    Thanks!

    Assuming resolved since there are no recent responses here. Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks!

    I’m having a similar (if not the same) problem:

    WP 3.9.3
    GCE 2.2.1

    Calendar address:
    [email protected]

    The originating (read-only) calendar feed:
    https://ithacacity.tandemcal.com/index.php?type=export&action=ical&search_input=caroline&export_type=now_to_infinity&schools=4&limit=none&date_start=2014-09-07&page=2

    I simply subscribe to that calendar in Google Calendar and share it via the calendar address above.

    I was able to resolve it by:

      making the feed private
      removing it from all pages (and sidebar) where it was appearing
      making the feed public
      adding it back to the locations where it was displaying

    I’m not sure which of the above triggered the correction, but the events are now displaying the correct time.

    @nick Young,
    Yes, I think that changing the code by deleting &ctz made it refresh somehow. I was fiddling with the plugin code a lot at the time, so there might have been something else that forced my site to adopt the WordPress T.Z. that I had set weeks before. Thanks for the plugin – my boss loves it!
