Timeout error on download backup

  • Hi there,
    tried twice to back up my site, keep getting this timeout error – could it be, because some Vimeo videos are shown on the site and it tries to copy those?
    Tried with options: Database + Filesystem, as manual backup with file download option – I don’t know exactly, how big the site is, has quite some images (but not hundreds so I’d say it shouldn’t be that extraordinary).
    At “Help + Support” it says:
    Online Backup for WordPress Plugin Version 2.2.18
    WordPress Version: 3.0.1
    PHP Version: 5.2.17
    MySQL Server Version: 5.0.96-log
    MySQL Client Version: 1.0
    Mem: 256M; Post: 10M; Upload: 10M; Timeout: 0

    Would be happy with tips, reg. how to resolve this, thx in advance.

  • hello i am trying to download my backup files, i have tried over 10 times but always get this error msg
    This webpage is not available
    The webpage at https://mydomain/wp/wp-admin/tools.php?page=wponlinebackup%2Fwponlinebackup.php&section=backup&messages=true might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
    Error 330 (net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED): Unknown error.

    Any suggestion please ?

    It has run successfully several times – never producing the trace.log file.

    I have even run successfully, several times, on the original 2.2.18 version.

    LoayTamimi, we’re working on a way to workaround that problem – it’s due to PHP limits on the server. Hopefully be fixed soon. In meanwhile you could download the file from wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup/tmp/full/backup.zip.php
    Just rename the file to .zip and use WinZIP or WinRAR or 7-ZIP or other software and it should be able to “repair” the file and make it usable which will remove protection from the file.

    You can try this one and hopefully it will work much better for you. There’s not much else I can do without a trace.log I’m afraid and I’m not sure why your server isn’t producing one! Maybe double check in FTP and look in wp-content/plugins/wponlinebackup-577-tracing/trace.log if you still have issues with this 593 one.
