Timeout on big orders

  • Hello there i would like to know if there’s an option to separate the pdf creation / mail sending from the order execution because i’m having timeout issues that get solved instantly upon disabling the plugin. I think it may have to do with woocommerce ajax time limit. (the timeout happens at about 45 seconds).
    Or maybe there’s another way to resolve this issue?

    We currently have 4 cpus and 8gb of ram in the server both enabled for php and wordpress. Php execution timeout is 120 seconds and performance has been checked from php, the only thing our server would not allow is opcache and imagemagick. We may move to a VPS but before taking the big leap i would like to know if there’s a more elegant solution.

    Hi Julian,
    I haven’t seen this before, is this on single orders? I’ve seen the PDF library choking when a single item (=table cell) spans multiple pages.

    Moving to a VPS just for this plugin feels like overkill for sure…

    Could you send me the HTML output of such an order to [email protected] so I can do some testing with it?
