We have an issue with the display of some events appearing incorrectly 1 hour later. The issue is only affecting one event – other events display at the correct time. Events data is coming out of an Outlook.office365.com ICS feed.

I have checked that the PHP timezone is set correctly to Europe/London. We are now in British Summer Time (BST) daylight saving.

It seems that the issue is with a recurring event series which begins during the winter (GMT) every Sunday at 9:30am. Since the change to BST, this event now displays incorrectly at 10:30am. Other single events are not affected and display at the correct time. I have also tried forcing the TZ parameter in the shortcode but this causes the correct times to show the wrong time.

It seems therefore that there is an issue with recurring events crossing the daylight saving date. We could try to split our recurring events to compensate but it would be nice if there was a fix for this bug.

This most likely (but I can’t say definitely) is not a bug in this plugin, but is instead an issue with the way the recurrence rules for this event are configured in the feed. You may need to explicitly set the timezone on the event itself so that the recurrence rules account for the BST switch. (In other words, the event itself may be set to UTC+0 instead of a specific timezone locale.)

If you check that and it seems to be set correctly (in Office 365), can you share the raw feed URL? You can email it to the address on the plugin’s admin page if you don’t want to post it here.

OK thanks that would be very helpful! I can’t see an email address on here – am I looking in the wrong place? I can send you the ICS link to confirm.

Also just FYI, if you’re using the Pro version, we’re not supposed to provide support for paid plugins here; use the support request form on the website:

Marking as resolved since there has been no follow up, but if you’re still having this issue, feel free to reopen this thread.
