When I am logged in to WordPress, the timezone (Asia/Kolkotta) is displayed correctly for each event along with the time (start and end).

However, after I log out from the dashboard, the website shows the timezone as being 5.5 hours ahead. On logging back in, the event again shows correctly for logged in users.

I checked gmt_offset in the wp_options table. Irrespective of whether this is 0 or 5.5, it doesn’t change the displayed time.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hello Kevin,

Please deactivate all your plugins except timely, then update your event or feed and then reactivate all the plugins again. This will solve the issue for you.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks for replying Jashan.

    I tried this.

For some reason, when I am logged in, it shows my timezone as Africa (GMT). I had initially set my timezoone to Asia/Kolkotta. So each time I have to enter the values in GMT. I also checked the wp_options and set the gmt_offset to 0 and then to 5.5, but no difference. Even timezone string shows Asia/Kolkotta, but when I create a new event or edit an old one, the timezone shows as Africa.

    Thanks

    Hello Kevin,

Can you please make sure you are using the version 2.0.13.

If so, please go to https://time.ly and post your problem with WP login credentials(privately) there. One of our team member will work closely with you.

    Thanks
