• Hello.

Before the update i was using 2.4.6 and my countdown was right.
Since 2.4.7 my countdown shows one hour less although i haven’t changed the shortcode.

I deinstalled 2.4.7 and installed 2.4.6 again from Github -> everything correct.
Updated again in WordPress to 2.4.7. -> one hour missing

    Kai

check your timezone settings and verify that the correct timezone is set and the correct time is being displayed under: Dashboard > Settings > General > Timezone.
Also, include a link to the page that shows the counter.

    Checked.

On my dev machine and on my live server everything is fine.

You can see it in action here.

also, the new version has a debug feature, simply set debug=”true” in the shortcode and the countdown will display info that should help you figure out why the time is being calculated the way it is.

    Done. Pls Check again…..

Funny is that the debug infos are showing
    Now: 2020-02-05 10:57:31 Europe/Berlin
    Target: 2020-05-29 13:30:00 Europe/Berlin
Time to Target: 114 days 2 hours 32 mins. 28 secs.
But the counter “insists” on 1 hour

ok, post the rest of the debug info, and then roll back to the last version. we’ll see if we can recreate the issue on our end.

    The whole debug info:

    Now: 2020-02-05 11:08:22 Europe/Berlin
    Target: 2020-05-29 13:30:00 Europe/Berlin
Time to Target: 114 days 2 hours 21 mins. 37 secs.
    Browser Now (JS): loading…
    Timezone Delta: loading…
    Rest Now (JS): loading…
    Time to Target: loading…
    Time Cached: loading…

    Counter shows
    Tag(e) Stunde(n) Minute(n) Sekunde(n)
    114 01 21 39

It is clear that counter could “hang” one or two seconds behind debug info after refresh of page due to delay of rendering

    Rollback done.

Guess what? Now it is correct.

Unfortunately there is no debug-flag in 2.4.6

This is an issue. Are there any JS errors being thrown in the console?
It’s hard to debug this without a link.

OK, it seems to be an issue with omitmonths. We can recreate the issue on our end.

We’ll work on an update and get back when it’s ready for testing.

    Weird….as it worked in 2.4.6

Give me a sign and i will do the test

It’s broken .. could this be fixed ?

Same problem but the othwe way around. I get one hour more than the correct value until the first minute turns over:

    https://test.hogkammen.se/sparkling/countdown-page/

(This is Sweden, with the correct time zone on both the local development server, and the public given above).

When I reload the page, I get that extra hour again.

I am trying to work on it when I have time…
    https://demo.spacedonkey.de/t-countdown-and-caching/

in the meantime, please roll-back to the previous version here:
    https://plugins.svn.www.ads-software.com/t-countdown/tags/2.4.6/

Any update on a a timeline for correcting the countdown errors? I have seen “seconds” lower minutes and hours as it rolls and so I suppressed seconds and other issues exist so now the time is only correct when I reload the page.

It is easier to disable and remove than to rollback, right?

best roll back to 2.4.6. until 2.4.8 is released.

Even worse now when we turned over to summer time.. Now the time is two hours off until the minute turns over for the first time.

    Could you give a link to 2.4.6 or a fixed 2.4.7 ?
