    Hello there!
    I think some might agree timthumb is not the best way to generate thumbnails.
    So searching alternatives i found a very interesting article about the vt_resize function, which i think it’s an awesome alternative to timthumb.
    I am no coder so i don’t dare to modify this plugin to see if it works but i think it wouldn’t be too hard to implement to Ajay.

    I think it would be a big plus for this plugin, but not sure if it’s even possible to do. I know Ajay is always looking to improve this plugin so i figure asking wouldn’t hurt.

    Hi, thanks for the suggestion. The tutorial above actually uses some deprecated functions in WordPress.

    I’ve got another alternative called BFI_Thumb which I plan to implement subsequently.

    Where are you on implementing this? All the talk about how bad timthumb is makes me nervous.

    Timthumb isn’t bad, in my opinion. However, Ben is no longer supporting it.

    I’m rewriting Top 10 massively which would be in the next few weeks.

    I’ve released v2.0 which adds an alternate to Timthumb via pre-registered image times or your own custom image type.

    Timthumb support will be removed in v2.1
