• This error comes when I go to the edit post page and have not disabled visual editor. The editor is blank and I can’t see what I type, but it does show up on the post.

If I disable visual editor, I can type in the text editor and post.

I ran the java console on chrome while on the edit page and got three tinymce undefined errors and one tinyMCE undefined error.

Anyone know how I fix this? Thanks!

  • How are you disabling the visual editor?

What specific errors are you getting? Copy/paste them.

To disable visual editor I check the “disable visual editor while writing” box in the “my profile” tab under “users” in the dashboard menu.

The java script console shows three tinymce errors:

“Uncaught ReferenceError: tinymce is not defined(anonymous function) @ post.php?post=701&action=edit:2574

    Is that useful?

    Thanks

Have you tried disabling plugins to rule out a plugin conflict?

Also, does this occur in all browsers (which would point to a problem with your WP install) or just one (which would point to a problem with your browser)?
