• After upgrading to 4.0 (I’m certain a couple versions were skipped) the visual editor has disappeared on this site https://blog.buildllc.com. I’ve researched this up and down and have yet to find a solution that works.

I have done the following with no results:

    • De-activated all plugins and activated the default theme.
    • Installed Use Google Libraries Plugin.
    • Checked User settings for ‘Disable Visual Editor’ and proofreading settings.
    • Installed alternate editor plugin.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Sorry, you’re using a premium/paid theme. It’s best to go to the support site where you bought the theme radiantstory.com for help with customizations and issues. You paid for support when you bought the theme, so you should contact the people who sold you the theme. These forums are for themes available in the WordPress theme directory at www.ads-software.com/themes/. See https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products

This problem persists with the default theme activated. It’s not a theme issue.

The theme was developed by radiantstory prior to my taking on the project, not purchased from. This shouldn’t matter as it’s not a theme issue.

Someone still paid for it, and no one here has access to the theme.

If the issue is still there with twentyfourteen, see https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors

If there are errors, they are coming from somewhere, probably a plugin.
