Tips needed how to show restaurant menus

Hi,
I was asked to set up a WP-sajt for a couple of student cafés, and I wonder what strategy to use.

I would like to show a weekly list of each café’s daily menu, and a daily list where each café’s menu of the day are listed.

I was checking out some calendar/schedule plugins but the problem is that each plugin wants to show time slots (eg hourly) in weekly and daily views.

My other thought was to somehow use custom taxonomies and the filter the daily and weekly menues in functions.php.

Tips and suggestions are appreciated. A plugin would be the easiest way out for me.
