Title added with option unchecked

Hello @emielb. My name is Arun. Thank you for checking out my plugin.

Below are my settings. I’d like to only have the?Alt Text?filled, but instead the?Title field?is filled as well with the filename. I am using the Divi theme, and I suspect that it fills this field automatically.

If you are uploading a new image, WordPress automatically generates a title for the image. Not sure if Divi uses it or not. You can disable the plugin and see how WordPress + Divi performs normally.

The bulk updater in the free version does not take in to account the “General Settings”. It updates all attributes including the title, in the free version. (This is mentioned in the warning notices throughout the plugin.).

In the Pro version, you can set the title as empty and force WordPress to use the empty image title on new upload and also for existing images (using the bulk updater).

If I understand correctly, I would need to buy the PRO version to have the first letter of the Alt Text capitalized?

You are correct. Capitalization settings are available in the Pro version.

Thank you for your quick reply. After testing, it is indeed WordPress that automatically adds the file name in the title attribute (there is no difference if the theme used is Divi or another).

I think I’ll develop my own plugin to do only the 2 simple tasks I need (add an Alt attribute and remove the title attribute generated by WordPress).
