Title attribute for input fields

Is there a way to add title-attributes to the CF7 input fields without editing the Plugin files? I want to read them out with jquery and insert them as a placeholder instead of labels.
I only found this solution https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-contact-form-7-how-can-i-add-title-attribute?replies=6, but its not very comfortable because it will get lost when updating the plugin
