Title/Description in slideshow

    I am unable to make image title and description display in slideshow called from thumbnail gallery display. I have searched this forum and found the similar problem in the following thread https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/captions-for-thumbnail-slideshow-doesnt-work/ and the solution was to select “NextGen Legacy: gallery-caption.php”. However, that option does not appear in my selection list. Only album-compact, album-extend and default appear. This is set up as a test area for now. The example of the slideshow can be seen by choosing Chapter Events, Plains, Slideshow. The titles and captions show fine on the thumbnails, but not the slideshow. Thank you for any assistance. Also, I assume that I am using the latest NextGen version since I just installed it a few days ago.

    @saratlanta – The Basic Slideshow does not have a method to display captions and the captions template you are referring to is for Basic Thumbnails and not used from an album display type which you appear to be using from your description.

    You might consider looking into our Pro display types which do offer a slideshow that has the option to display captions.
