  • Hi,

It is most likely an issue with Yoast or the site. We say that as on our testing environment the title “Indexing Data In Bulk From SQL Server – Elasticsearch – Discuss the Elastic Stack” appears as it should in a Google Search: https://pasteboard.co/GLphlTU.png.

To resolve the issue please try the following:
    1. Confirm you are updated to the newest Yoast SEO 5.4.2.

    2. What does your colored bar show for the title show? Does it show green or orange?

    3. Try removing the title from Yoast, saving the page, adding then adding it back in. Does it show as in the image?

    4. Does it change if you try to re-write the title manually?

A few updates ago the title bar (in Yoast) started to allow for longer titles before it went orange. I guess we all assumed this was because google is now showing MUCH longer titles than before.

Since recent updates Yoast has gone back to the shorter one it had before.

On a slightly different matter the Yoast results are different in PC and tablet – for example

On a PC a title can show as Green
The same title in a tablet says “the title is too short” and shows as orange. if we make it longer in the tablet it then goes orange on the PC saying its too long.

So we dont really know which one to run with if its too long in one and too short in another.
