At the top of each thumbnail set is the name and link to the album in flickr. Is it possible to remove the link but keep the album name? I didn’t see any reference to this in the forums.

    Thanks!

I think, if you pick the option, Photonic → Settings → Flickr → Flickr Settings → Disable lightbox linking, it likely removes the links at the top. On the flip side, it will also remove the link within the lightbox, where by default the title is linked to the Flickr page for your photo.

As long as it doesn’t break the album or gallery page I’m ok with this. I prefer not to allow site visitors access to my Flickr account.

I followed your instructions and the link still shows up in the album title on the category page. This is the link that should be removed. The image link at the bottom is there as well. We basically need for there to not be any visible links to the Flickr account. Is this possible?

Please provide me with a URL so that I can investigate. I am 100% certain that the link in the lightbox gets removed with this option – that functionality has been present since the early versions of the plugin in 2011.

No, I don’t. I only offer support through the forums here.

I ran a quick check by activating the setting on my test site. I can see that it has no impact on the album title (that still has the link). But as expected, it removes the links from within the lightbox. You can see the last example here.

So, to answer your original question, it is not possible to remove the link from the album title. As a part of your second question, the setting provided will remove the links from the lightbox display.

The UN doesn’t seem to be valid.

The setting replaces the title in the lightbox with the word “view” and keeps the link to the image.

Is there a way to remove the links via CSS?

Are you sure you have done the setting correctly? The “View” appears only if you have allowed lightbox linking and if there is no title against the photo (refer to the demo page I have linked, and take a look at the 4th photo in the “Sydney” album – I just now removed the title there). Are you serving a cached copy of the page? Is it possible that Elementor has saved the markup of your page?

I also see that you have a lightbox enabled from a separate plugin (probably Elementor). Can you please disable it? There are two lightboxes showing up for each photo.

Elementor doesn’t seem to have a way to turn its lightbox off so I turned off Photonic’s lightbox which fixed the link issue.

A couple more questions: When creating an album category the listing pulls just the post’s title and then adds “0.66” under the date. Is it possible to pull a thumbnail image and remove the “0.66”? I see it done in the demo, but I cannot seem to be able to reproduce it. Also, could the “0.66” be from Elementor?

From my past experience, that is not the case. In fact, I have had Elementor on sites without the lightbox. Its documentation seems to say that hte lightbox is optional: https://elementor.com/help/lightbox/.

Sorry, but what is an “album category”? There is no code anywhere in Photonic that prints 0.66 anywhere. I don’t see this anywhere on the link you previously supplied either. Where am I supposed to be looking?

Well, after a little testing, the Elementor lightbox treats each gallery as individual images and doesn’t include scrolling arrows. Now I’m back to using a lightbox in Photonic. That part is no longer an issue.

The 0.66 shows up under the date which is under the title of each album. This just started within the last few days. Here is one https://goflashwin.com/category/river-bluff/rb-football-category

The link above is a WP category page created for albums of this category (album category page). My earlier question was how to add a thumbnail to these just like your demo.

    Thanks for all your help!

That’s not from Photonic. You seem to have added something to your Elementor classes.

My earlier question was how to add a thumbnail to these just like your demo.

When you are constructing a gallery using the Wizard, the there is an option to show multiple albums on the screen called “Choose type of gallery”. That lets you build out the thumbnails. It might help if you cycle through the options under Photonic → Settings → Flickr. There are screenshots for many of these things.
