Title of site looks funny on Google

    Hi guys, my site title is wrong on google. It appears twice.

    When you search for the site on google it looks really weird. I can see two titles + description.

    I’m not sure what to do anymore. I’ve searched and searched and used the various suggestion to remove it from deactivating plugins (including Yoast – Force rewrite titles) to changing the code on php.header to renaming the site via settings>general. But still it’s still wrong. I’ve also reinstalled wordpress + theme but still nothing changes.

    Can someone please help me.

  • You cannot use any of the above to change how your site is indexed/listed on Google – at least not immediately – review that with Google.

    A) Use Yoast to correct the SEO title tag for the site. It is currently:
    Home Inside Woman Online

    B) Shorten the site Description meta tag – it is too long 64 characters max:
    Too long:
    Inside Woman Online celebrate you Christian woman and your accomplishments; as you strive to make your life ever more beautiful and fulfilling in God

    Once done use Google Webmaster Tools to submit a proper sitemap and re-index your site.
