• Hello,

I wanted to ask; how can I write my “permalink” different than my title in WordPress page?

For example; if my page title is “aemc” but I want my permalink to be like: [Moved to the URL field]

I am aware this can be done via editing the permalink below the title in the page; but when I open the link from google, it doesn’t open the page itself but the homepage.

Can anyone advise; how can I do this that is; writing the title and permalink differently.

    Thanks,
    Rashida H.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • If you set a static page as the start page for your site, then the permalink of this page will be just the home address of your whole site. Whatever permalink you’ve set won’t be used. (In fact, your WordPress will automatically forward requests for that particular page to the home URL of the site.)

I apologize, am still little lost.

What do you mean exactly? I can’t write custom permalink ? but they do give the option in the settings > permalink to write custom structure but my issue is that (I don’t want to use the postname, author, date and all) I want to write keyword based url.

But than, when I tried this; it’s redirecting my page to homepage. I was wondering; may be I am missing something in settings > permalinks > custom structure.
