Title plugins versus tag option in WP 2.3

  • I installed WP 2.3 and I understand that it has tag options, now the question is:
    Does it make all other SEO plugins useless??? Does WP 2.3 do the same thing like SEO Title Tag pluging did???
    Or SEO Title Tag is still better?

    Does this tag option in WP 2.3 actually tags the titles of posts? How can I check whether it works with my theme or not???
    I use Field Of Dreams theme.
