Tony, First, Thanks so much for taking over this awesome plugin that is perfect for our station! Nikki was great too, she added my suggestion for the override feature. I was looking forward to moving the title position with update 2.2.4, however, the widget only will display the title above or below the image. It won’t display it to the right or left. Also, when I schedule an override, the time is always displayed in 24 hr time and not the 12 hr time I have set in the widget. Thanks to you and your code folks to look at these issues.

    Hi @pdym:

No problem. Thanks for the gratitude. We appreciate it. If it wasn’t for Tony Hayes from wpmedic.tech, this would still be stuck, but he’s done some great work to help out and contribute his expertise to this neat little plugin. We hope to add some additional features – especially a sticky footer/header audio player in a PRO version if that’s something we can understand the need for. And, I’m thinking about somehow integrating with a few radio automation systems to pull the playlist automatically as the songs are played, so they don’t have to be manually typed in. But that’s pie in the sky for down the road.

I tested the latest version widget sidebar functions we recently added before pushing 2.2.4 and in my testing, the method we added to switch the Show title above/below/left/right of the image was working on the demo site.

As you can see on the demo page: https://netmix.co/radio-station-demo/, I have four widgets, each Show Title set to the respective top/bottom/left/right position. I also see it printing the 12/24 hour difference, as the first one is denoted as 12 and the second one 24.

I’m not sure why you’re not seeing the new widget settings after taking the update. Can you post a link to your site please?

Hmmm…Interesting. No worries Tony I’m ok with it below the image, just wanted to try different options and when it didn’t work, was wondering if anyone else was having the same problem. As far as the time issue, the regular schedule works as it should, it’s only on a schedule override. If the override is in the morning it’s fine, example TEST OVERRIDE 6:00 am – 9:00 am. But if I schedule it afternoon it displays TEST OVERRIDE 18:00 pm – 21:00 pm. It’s not a huge deal, just wanted you to know in case anyone else was having the same issue and you wanted to look into it.
Thanks again to you and Mr. Hayes for all your efforts!

Okay, we should fix that then. I’ll post a bug to the Github repo and see if we can get that fixed in the next release.

@pdym Thanks for the bug report, would not have noticed that for a long time otherwise. You are quite correct the 24 hour is worked out on the backend but should have been converted back to 12 hour for display of PM times in that widget. Fixed for next release (2.2.7) ??

As for the left/right display, it really depends on the width of the container and the show image size, if there is not enough room it won’t float. It’s also hard to say if this is a theme or style conflict you were experiencing but since it’s working as on the demo site I’d say this was most likely the case.

@majick Thank You for looking into this! We’ll use the override feature a lot during the upcoming football season. As for the title issue, I think it should be good in the next release. I suspect it had to do with widgets.css not getting loaded correctly with update 2.2.4 Our site still had djonair.css file in the css folder.
I didn’t update to 2.2.6 when I saw it was breaking some sites so I very much look forward to 2.2.7 Thanks again Tony!!

Ha! I’ll make sure I don’t f*** up the next release. Will work on that today. I wasn’t deleting the entire trunk before uploading new versions and that left files with name changes in the trunk. So, I’ll now be removing the entire trunk and then uploading the latest version to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Learning everyday this process. It’s not something you just know and even the documentation does not clearly state you should clear the trunk completely before uploading the next version. I’ve also set up the TAGS now, so older versions are going to be tagged from 2.2.6 onward. I may go back and download all the older versions prior to when I took it over and tag them, but that may not be relevant any longer with all these new changes and the code improvements made in the last release to bring the plugin up to WordPress coding standards.

BRAVO Fellas! With 2.2.7 the title position works as it should and override time displays correct in 12 hr format in current dj on air widget, however, the override time still displays in 24 hr in the upcoming dj widget when set to 12 hr. But that’s just a minor nit-pick you can make note of for a future release. Keep up the awesome work Tony & Majick Tony!!

Hey @pdym – I thought we fixed that upcoming DJ widget issue this release. I’ll check with @majick on that and we’ll fix it asap after the holiday weekend. Sorry about that! I need to be better at QA, but glad I have you as a second set of eyes.
