I’m using a Sidebar widget to display a Photo Gallery Slideshow. The problem is that although I’ve set the title position for bottom center, it seems that only first image in the slideshow reliably follows that setting and nearly all the rest bounce the title position back to dead center of the image (which is NOT optimal). It looks like a bug to me. Occasionally the position will drop to the bottom of the image but it is a very low percentage and even those images are not consistent. The same image may display the title in the correct, bottom position once and later display again but in the center of the image.
I had posted this problem originally a few weeks ago and some how it was labeled “Resolved” but the problem is still there so I’m posting it again and hoping for assistance. Still hoping someone can help. I was asked for a link in my first posting.

    Link to problem page

As a side note: To set the title position I had to go through “Global Options” which now I can’t find again. So a hint would be appreciated in case a solution is finally found. Otherwise, I’ll need to give up on titles completely and I’d really hate to give them up. Thanks for any assistance!

    @imaquila,

Thanks for getting back. Note that even if the ticket is marked resolved you can still continue posting to it.

You should go to Photo Gallery>Options>Shortcode Defaults and here choose the option set https://gyazo.com/6ba5c92f474be10a196d5dc399faecb3

The remove the widget and re-add it.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue just let me know. Thanks.

Thanks for your assistance. I’ve removed the Photo Gallery Slideshow widget from the sidebar then I Dragged it down to the bottom of the Widget list and clicked Delete. At first I was concerned because I didn’t know how to find it to download it again but it seems to still be in Widget list so I dragged it over to the sidebar again and selected the gallery but the only things that changed is that now the title font is larger (may be a setting that I have not set correctly yet and the slideshow is VERY slow to start rotation of images. Once it starts rotation it keeps them changing very regularly. Not sure why the long delay. As for the title position, it still starts at the bottom and bounces back to the center of images more times than not. The same link above should show you what I mean.

On a side note… For some reason, even though I’ve checked the box to be notified of follow up replies via email. I’m not getting them. The box IS still checked and I DO get emails from Syed WPBeginner newsletters but nothing from this forum.

Thanks again for your time and patience in trying to help me with this.

    Hey @imaquila!

Could you please check this forum post, where I shared a solution to this problem?

You need to enable Preload images option from Photo Gallery Options > Global Options > General tab, and the problem will be resolved.

    Thanks! Have a good day!

Thanks, I tried it but title position is still bouncing to the center. Just to clarify… It is the Photo Gallery Slideshow that I’m having issues with. Using the link that I posted originally, you have to scroll down to find it on the right.

I had already posted the same to the “Resolved” thread. Any other suggestions? Your time an effort are sincerely appreciated.

    Hey @imaquila!

That’s great to know! We didn’t change anything, and we are not able to, since it is a www.ads-software.com setting ??

As for the problem, please refer to this forum post, where your question is answered. I’m also quoting it below.

Let me firstly inform, that our development team is currently working on this problem. They will release an update, where this bug is fixed.

Meanwhile, could you please disable shuffling for your Photo Gallery Slideshow view? You can do that by editing the shortcode of your gallery and setting Enable Shuffle to No. This will resolve the problem.

    Cheers!

I don’t see this problem resolved at all. I am using the slideshow and have the same problem. I have seen this problem reported in several other postings. Your suggestions do not work, or are unreliable within each gallery.

You have a grid with options for placing the title, or info – but these do not work. Instead, the title or info is plastered across the image, a complete mess!

Preloading does not work, so what other way do you suggest to fix this problem?

    Have a good day.
