Any reason why the title from an imported image isn’t copied? Retyping the titles gets tiring very quickly. Actually the same goes for the caption and the alt-text. Images have these fields so why are they empty after import?

  • Hi @jondor,

    Thank you for reaching out!
Before importing images in the gallery please edit it and go to Captions > scroll down to WordPress caption field and WordPress title field > and set them to Title and Caption accordingly then save your gallery.
Then go to your Media Library > edit your images and add for them titles, captions, and alt text. When you add them in your gallery it will take them and fill those fields.

Please let me know how it goes!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela

Well, that’s the problem. It doesn’t.
For every image the title is filled by WordPress with OR the filename Or the name as given in the exif data. Either case, the image has a title.

When I add the image its alt-text, caption and description fields manually and save those, only the alt-text is imported from WordPress.

    Title and caption stay empty.

    Thank you for explaining!
Can you please send me a screenshot with your Caption Settings (edit the gallery > Captions) and please also send me your site’s URL so I can investigate further?
    Thanks a bunch!

    Warmly,
    Mihaela
