“To” field email address doesn’t work outside domain address

Emails are only able to be sent to an email address in the “To” field if the email address is from the domain the form is submitted from.
Example: mywebsite.com has a form that can only send to emails such as [email protected] or [email protected]. They cannot be sent to [email protected] or [email protected].
This has never been a problem before and I’ve had to rework a lot of client accounts to get around this problem. Is there something I can do about this?
