    Hi,

    I found your plugin and im totaly happy with it, but there is one problem. I have very long text with many characters. When i try to save the new tab with this text, i just can’t save it and when i reload the product page there is simply no new tab. I guess it’s because of the length of the text. Is there any limit of characters per tab and product? How can i increase this limit?

  • Hi @streamcare2,

    There is a length limit on meta fields, but it is very very large (4,294,967,295 characters). That is set by WordPress in your database, and it’s unlikely that you are reaching that limit.

    Does the body of that text have any special characters in it? Is it regular text or does it contain HTML? If you right-click the page and click “Inspect”, you can see the browser developer tools. If you go to the “Console” and then try adding a tab again, do any error messages appear in the Console? Are you using the Save Tabs button underneath all of the product tabs, or are you just clicking Update on the entire product?

    Hi,

    sorry for the late response. I didn’t recieved a message by mail about your respons.
    Anyway, I tryied what you say. No message in the consol. But yes it’s a html test with headlines, bold and so on. Is there any problem with this?

    Hi @streamcare2,

    There shouldn’t be any problem with that. I wonder, do you see any errors in your site’s debug log? Something is clearly failing, and if we can find some sort of alert or message it might point us in the right direction.

    Alternatively, if you know that shorter tabs work, you could always make a shortcode that expands to a large amount of text, and just store the shortcode as the tab content. Is that a viable solution for you?
