To launch or not to launch, an rss feed.

  • By default WP 1.5 chooses to launch your default feed reader, I have chosen to over ride this so to speak by just linking to the rss file.

    I guess what I am looking for is your choice of method, letting an rss feed launch the app by default or allowing the file feed to show in your browser.

    Not everyone is knowlegable about RSS so this is why I choose to do otherwise.

  • as a developer I prefer when the feed is available direcly in rss

    your readers would probably prefer having it the other way

    if your audience is mostly tech folks then i’d go with rss.

    You can manually replace the feed link with your feed’s URL, or simply remove “feed:” from the feed links.
