• hello dear friends,
I think, wordpress need to better multilingual option as followings:
    method 1:
Adding a column in table, only for language for : post, tag, category tables.
Adding a column for connecting items of translating to others.
    method 2:
separate column for ever language for items of post, tag, category.

because separate column is better to other actions.
I have a multisite website in three languages and I want to use a multilingual plugin, but if I change my website to multilingual, I could not refer to first state.
Also, No. of posts in ever language are different, I want to connect posts to translates.
Also for tags and categories and taxonomies.
    Best regards
    homami

  • Wordpress itself doesn’t have a multlanguage functionality. If you want to create a multilingual site, you can use a plugin e.g. Polylang or other plugins.
If you have a problem with a plugin or you have suggestions, best place to post is the support of that plugin.

    Dear Friend staartmees,

Polylang and other plugins, set all of languages items in one box of table, then if you want to separate theirs, you can not do it.
Please read my subject and help me if you can.

    Best regards

Wordpress core has no multilingual capabilities, you depend on what plugins offers. That’s why I wrote “If you have a problem with a plugin or you have suggestions, best place to post is the support of that plugin”.

I have same issue I think those plugin are translating a content rather allowing for posting parallel multilingual posting.
I believe Drupal Internationalisation module is the best sample to understand what is needed. This is now incorporated in the Drupal core.

So something like this is needed for WP, I believe.
