To many changes

So many changes from the last version that the output. The tweets don’t upload unless I click on update, most of the settings that I had made are gone and no longer available. All tweets had to have a tag and category applied to them. After updating these categories and tags are no longer applied so the update basically broke my site.
Should this major changes not make the plugin a new one? I even have to get another plugin so this one will work, one before it worked independently.
So basically I have lost all control over what I had before, the Social plugin does not e.g. provide me with the ability to add tags ore categories to anything.
There are also allot of complains with the Social plugin and it is cosing timestamp and feed problems, so no I have to plugins that are not working correctly. The plugin is getting a 3 star rating.
I’m reverting back to the an older version of this plugin if i can and looking for other solutions that will stay in development and maintenance and hope that this plugin will be reverted back to its original state and continued to be developed as an independent plugin.
