We are using yoast seo premium. Here we need to do ‘no index’ and ‘no follow’ for some pages. We are not able to see metabox. Please suggest. Also how can we disable sitemaps like slide-page-sitemap.xml and avada_faq-sitemap.xml

    Thanks

    Hi @phpteam

When I checked the pages source, I noticed your site is running Yoast SEO 22.7. Kindly update Yoast SEO to 23.8. Then check the metabox.

    Update Yoast SEO:

Before we discuss manually updating, let’s cover a few important things to be aware of beforehand. First, Yoast SEO stores SEO data and settings in the database, so manually updating is not expected to cause any data loss.

Second, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database for your site’s health and safety. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins. It provides you with a safety net in case something were to go wrong. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.

Kindly follow the help article to update the free version of Yoast SEO.

    Disable sitemap:

Once Yoast SEO is updated to 23.8, kindly head to WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content type and find slide-page or avada-faq and then disable those from Search appearance. Save the settings.

    Hi @611shabnam

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. How to set ‘no index’ and ‘no follow’ for certain pages.
    2. Even though we disabled Avada slides from the search appearances, the slide-page-sitemap.xml link is still active.

    Please suggest

    Hi @phpteam

    1. You can follow this article to noindex pages using Yoast SEO.
    2. May I have a screenshot of the items available under WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content type and WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Categories & Tags?

You can also use filters to remove a specific post type. Typically code snippets are added to your theme’s functions.php file. If you’re unfamiliar with using code snippets, we’d like to refer you to the WordPress documentation on how to use a filter.

    Thank you @611shabnam

I have now disabled ‘Search Appearance’ under the settings: WordPress Dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Categories & Tags > ‘Avada Sliders’ and the link https://www.efacility.in/slide-page-sitemap.xml is no longer working.
