• Dear support,

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Place [toc] shortcode on a regular page and confirm that it is working.

    2. Go to Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays a static page -> [toc page here]

    3. Visit the frontpage and you will see the [toc] shortcode isn’t producting a table of contents in the output.

    Can this be fixed?

    Sincerely,

    Jay

Earlier, you wrote: “does not work even on my regular page. pathetic.”.

And yeah, you do need 2 or more headings.

As for the frontpage, that’s also a setting you need to turn on.

It works fine for me now.

More specifically, it’s this one in Advanced

Show the table of contents for qualifying items on the homepage

It took me a while to understand.
