I set up the plugin and it really looked great.
But then I noticed, that regardless of my settings (only show on blogposts, don’t sho per default etc) the TOC showed up on every post/page.
With a little special feature: On that posts, where the TOC is legitimately supposed to be displayed, it is styled like I set it up to do (no numbers etc). On the other pages or posts the TOC ignores my custom preferences.

I’m using a child of the Azeria theme.
This is the blog in question, but I had to deactivate the plugin, because of it’s behaviour, so I don’t know if that helps.

It sounds like you have enabled the Auto Insert option on the Settings : Table of Contents admin page.

I suggest turning that option off.

I also suggest only enable support for the post types that you intend to use the table of content on.

With the auto insert options off and support added to the specific post types you need. When adding/editing that post type(s) the table of contents will only be added when you enable that option of the post itself. There’s a whole section dedicated to table of content settings on the actual post you are adding/editing.

    Hope this helps!
