TOC Support for nextpage tag? paginated posts

    All the posts are paginated at a minimum 10 pages so you might understand the need of toc support for paginated posts or nextpage tag.

    Since, the block is quite useful and literally, all what I need in the package itself (kadence blocks), i don’t want to add any other plugin for just this widget toc. I had done that in the past, but then we didn’t have much options.

    If this feature can’t be implemented soon, is there any way I can add it to this plugin. My guess is it would need PHP code, and if that’s the case, i can add that in code snippets plugin for better managebility.

    Thanks. If the feature’s already included in the plugin but out of my sight, please enlighten me upon it.

    Just to make sure I understand your request, you want the TOC block to link to a headline in say page 2 or page 3? Right now it intentionally only shows the contents of the page that you are on because the links are all anchor links in page and don’t reload the page and wouldn’t take you to a new page.

    That’s absolutely correct! I saw some plugins do this, but it’d be nice to add this little tweak to the block too. Just like a few weeks prior, alternate heading title was added. I’m also starting learning PHP, maybe then I’d be able to contribute some here or there :p but it’d take some time.

    Hello @sujaljain007,

    There is a feature request for the for the behavior you described. However, a decision hasn’t been made to implement the feature. In the meantime, you can add the TOC after each page break and the TOC will show the correct headings on a multipage post. However, you may need to find an alternative if you need to implement the feature immediately.
