• I love this plugin, but for some of my content, the header tags that I want to show in the sidebar are in ACF fields. I have checked off ‘acf’ both in the settings and the widget, but they are not displaying. Is it possible to do this? Is there something I missed? Is there a way to put a conditional php statement in the sidebar or the field to make this work? Please advise. Thanks

  • I haven’t used ACF fields so not sure how it operates or what it provides. As long as ACF fields uses the_content filter, then it will feed into TOC+ (and other plugins that use the same filter).

Does it work with auto insertion?
Does it work in with the TOC+ widget?

TOC+ does work with the widget when the header tags are in the normal content area. I have tried putting the [toc] shortcode directly in the title field, but that does not work – probably because each field only has 1 heading tag. (This may be the real issue, is there a way to set it to 1?)

As I mentioned before, ‘acf’ does show as a content type in the settings – so something is registering that, but checking it in both settings and widget does not work.
Here is where it’s not working – https://lafeber.com/staging/vet/basic-information-for-hedgehogs/
Here’s an example of where it works wonderfully – https://lafeber.com/staging/vet/five-fun-flamingo-facts/

    Thanks
