    Hello,
I let your plugin active but there is a disturbing error message on every page (backend and frontend) that has been generated by the today update of the plugin.

I need urgently a workaround to avoid these messages to appear, thanks:

Warning: fopen(/web/htdocs/www.mujic.org/home/wp-content/plugins/give-recurring/give-recurring.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /web/htdocs/www.mujic.org/home/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5568

Warning: fread() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /web/htdocs/www.mujic.org/home/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5571

Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /web/htdocs/www.mujic.org/home/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5574

  • We’re having a similar issue which seems to be related to Give looking for the Recurring Donations add-on

After updating to Give 2.5.6, an error message displays forcing a rollback to version 2.5.4 as it’s not finding the recurring subscriptions add-on (we’ve never used this)

It appears that you can’t update to the latest free Give version, without actually having the paid add-on ‘Recurring Donations’!

We do not have the Recurring Donations Add-On, as we do not require this, (or to be correct, it would be nice to have, but the charity doesn’t have budget for it currently) – and so we are just using Give in free mode, like thousands of charity clients. It shouldn’t be necessary to use an expensive paid add on, in order to update the free version of Give

Would be grateful if Give support can please patch this error and advise.

    thanks.
(Also our organization is a no profit one with poor budget on this…and everything ?? ). So thanks for your effort.

That’s what I came here for, too. Same error message. Good to know it’s being worked on. Thanks so much for all of your hard work, Give Team!

Following up here, but I see that @lucamarino-1 beat me to it!

I will say that if anyone is having issues with Give itself, please reach out with a new forum post here, as that pings our whole team. If you are having issues related to a premium add-on, we can’t support those here, but are monitoring things VERY closely on the Priority support forum, so please reach out there. https://givewp.com/support

Thanks for your patience this morning while we got to the bottom of these issues.
