Toebreak

  • How tiebreak option works?
    I need to sort this way:
    1. Points
    2. When teams got te same no of points then direct matches between this teams.
    3. When on direct matches was tie then goal difference.
    Is this possibile?

    Unfortunately, the third part isn’t possible. That’s because the head to head tiebreaker rule can only be used as your last ordering attribute. You need to use the league table adjustments for manual corrections in the 3rd case.

    Ok, so how tiebreaker works?
    For example I’ve got 2 ordering attribute: 1. Points, 2. Goal difference. and tiebreaker is turned on . Two teams got the same no of points and goal difference… And what now? ??

    Did you enable the head to head tie breaking? If yes, then the winning of the direct matchup is going to be upper in your standings.

    So “head to head tie breaking” option check direct matchup conditions and its the last checking options in table league (after sort order in configuration) ? I’m just trying to understand how it works

    I would like only to know how it works so that I can apply it accordingly.

    That’s correct. The head to head tie-breaking criteria can only be used as your last ordering attribute (after all the league table orders have been applied).

    @presio You’re right, the current version will prioritize the table statistics before looking at tiebreakers. That said, SportsPress is an open-source project and we welcome members of the community to get involved with development to further improve the plugin ??

    That’s a good point, @brianmiyaji . We are always open to suggestions and help in coding our free and open tool. We wish we could accommodate the desires of every single user out there, but that just isn’t possible as we have limited resources.

    In addition, you can always use the league table adjustments to correct any wrong positions after the tie-breaking has been applied.
