The solution provided to my previous post (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/toggle-collapse-expand-parent-categories/#post-15199174) does not work as needed. In order to expand each category to see subcategories, you have to check the category, but then checking a subcategory has no effect because it doesn’t overwrite the checked parent category selection. Ideally:
The parent categories should have + beside them, not a checkbox;
The (child) subcategories, when checked should have AND logic with other categories and filters.

I’ve managed to find a way to make it LOOK the way I’d like it to look but it doesn’t work properly. I can’t scroll down past a certain point with the filters on the left and can’t choose multiple subcategories from different parent categories and successfully display them. Hi,

If you mean that you can not scroll inside your sticky sidebar, that is related to your theme, please contact your theme’s developers about this issue or disable the sticky-sidebar ( if your theme allows that ), in a regular sidebar if you scroll down you can see all bottom filter elements.

As mentioned above, I managed to get it to LOOK the way I want it to, but the filters don’t work as they should – with AND logic. Selecting more than one child category doesn’t work. Deeselecting them doesn’t work (ie. it doesn’t remove the products in the deselected category from the products displayed.

This point seems to be resolved: – The parent categories should have + beside them, not a checkbox

and

– The child categories, when checked should have AND logic so they can be selected with other child categories for this you need “OR” if you want to mix 2 Child Categories, the “AND” logic will only show products published in both selected sub-categories, eg. if you select Cat1 and Cat2, then it will show only products that have both Cat1 and Cat2, with “OR” if you select Cat1 and Cat2, then products from both categories will show up. If I deselect sub-categories, the filter will reset, so it will show all published products from your Shop Page, but deselecting a filter doesn’t mean it will hide the product from your shop, see screen-recording: https://share.getcloudapp.com/7KuqxwJP
