• I use Gravity forms and every once in a while on a random basis I get notified of this: Token has been expired or revoked.(invalid_grant).
The SMTP email log saves the day but why is this error occurring?

  • We’ve been getting that since yesterday. GMail wanted all the credentials re-validated for some reason.

What steps did you take to re-validate ?
    thnx

Here is how I did it.
Go to Post SMTP Setup / Show All Settings
Then copy the Client Secret and paste somewhere so you don’t lose it.
Then delete the Client Secret and click Save Changes.

Then Paste the Client Secret back in and click Save Changes.

Now it will ask you to grant permission with Google again, do that and then go back to Post SMTP Setup and send a test email to verify it works.

This process ends in the same disaster every year.
This is what I get when I try to verify with Google by choosing an account:
    This app isn’t verified

This app hasn’t been verified by Google yet. Only proceed if you know and trust the developer.

If you’re the developer, submit a verification request to remove this screen. Learn more

So once again I have to hire someone to deal with Googles inept system.

I tried again and ignored Googles warning that my site is unverified, even though it is according to Google Analytics and Google Ads.
I ran a test and it worked.
I ran a contact form submission test and it worked.
So yay my problem is solved I guess but BOOOOO to Google for their lousy broken system.
